June 2012. Labcon begins certifying products ATP Free.Adding to our already unrivaled portfolio of testing and certification Labcon adds ATP testing to standard Lot testing. This testing for Adenosine Tri-Phosphate ensures that users of our products can rely on our products. And there is no cleaner, safer, or better product available anywhere in the world. -

January 2012. Labcon adds 175ml and 225ml Centrifuge Tubes.Extending the already unsurpassed range of tube options Labcon adds large tubes as a standard offering. In addition to the SuperClear™ and PerformR™ centrifuge tube ranges these tubes are now available in sterile or non sterile versions in 175ml and 225ml sizes. Each size includes our exclusive elastomeric sealing cap. -
July 2011. New Rooftop solar array produces 30% of Labcon's energy needs.Building upon Labcon's extensive Earth Friendly credentials Labcon completed a rooftop solar panel array that will provide 30% of Labcon's power needs while helping reduce our carbon footprint. -
May 2011. Labcon given Presidential Export AwardU.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke presented Labcon with the "E" Award during a ceremony held at the Commerce Department headquarters in Washington, D.C. on Monday May 16th. News Highlights
In 2010 our commitment to sustainability led us to make one of the biggest investments in company history. We financed and installed an 800kw rooftop solar array that went live in June 2011.
That system now produces almost one third of the power consumed by Labcon. Today, you can see Labcon products carry the "Made with Solar Power™" trademark. This use of Solar power helps us to reduce our overall carbon footprint.
Unlike what you might think, plastics do age. And over time they become less pliable. So old pipet tips will no longer fit your pipettors in the same way they did when they were freshly made. And tubes may not close as well, or start to leak.
Many suppliers hide the manufacturing date on their products or don't have one at all, or even will tell you that plastic never changes. But just like everything plastic resins age and do not perform as well after two or three years.
Labcon date and lot codes all of our disposable products. Even our non sterile items. So you can be sure the products you get will perform well on your equipment.
UL-DQS certified the Labcon quality management system in compliance with the latest ISO Quality Standard ISO 9001:2008 after the close of the latest 3 day audit of the company's facilities April 2012. This extensive audit is performed every three years to ensure full compliance with the international ISO standard.
This represents the latest in 15 years of continuous quality accreditation for Labcon to the international ISO standard.
Labcon celebrated 50 years of continuous operation in February 2009.
The anniversary was marked with a company-wide party and presentation highlighting the past 50 years of Labcon history.
