H-Pette® Dispenser with Blade
Labcon’s H-Pette® Dispenser makes blood slide preparation safe and easy. Simply insert the H-Pette® directly into the stopper of any size blood collection tube, dispense one drop onto a glass slide, and use the blade to smear the drop across the slide. Since you don’t have to open the primary sample tube, you greatly reduce the risk of lab- acquired infection by minimizing aerosols and exposure to blood borne pathogens.
H-Pette® simplifies blood smear preparation by cutting out several steps, thereby improving efficiency, saving time, and reducing wasted materials and blood samples. Using the H-Pette eliminates the need for sticks, capillaries, or syringes to dispense blood on the slide. No special training, no special fittings or inserts required.

Using the H-Pette®
1
Insert H-Pette’s cannula into the center of the stopper of the collection tube. Gently press until the cannula completely penetrates the septum.*

Invert collection tube with H-Pette’s round edge pointed down, as shown. Gently press round edge to the glass slide to dispense one blood drop onto the slide.
3
Rotate tube at an angle with H-Pette’s blade pointed down, as shown. Use the blade to make a smear just as you would a glass slide.
* The cannula is to be inserted in existing puncture in the stopper of the collection tube.
